Many students participate in after school activities that are athletics or band, but for some students, they just want something creative to do in their free time.

Art teacher Kylee Bostleman’s solution to this is the art club. “The art club is meant to give extra time for art students to practice and for those who don’t take art classes to express themselves.” Bostleman said

After the callout meeting, Bostelman is hoping for the word to get across to many students to allow the expression of creativity. If a lot of students join the art club, it will allow for more creative clubs other than the usual sporting or skillset clubs.

Bostelman also said that she is hoping to have the art club open every other week which would allow students to have biweekly practice and experience.

Not many details are known about how many students went to the callout meeting or how many students will actually participate.

The club is currently open to anyone in the school who would like to join. “We are hoping for the standard classroom size, so about twenty to twenty-five members.” Bostleman said

If twenty to twenty-five students applied to the art club, that would show success and also allow the club to continue on in the following years, even when the youngest students participating graduate.
